How much is music a part of your life? I am such a music person. I love a solo drive with the tunes cranked up; it always brings on a really good cry or jam session (shoulder shimmying, naturally). Cue up La Vie En Rose and cooking can seem like a dream. Or, if I'm ever in a workout class, it's all about the beat--I respond best to 90's dance hits (obviously).
I'm wondering if any of you guys have an anthem...what's your go-to song? The one you can listen to over and over and over again. The one that you can put on when times are tough or really great; and no matter what, it makes you feel good. My anthem is (and has been) Midnight City by M83. It has an unmistakable 80's vibe (very important) with a big sound that makes me feel reflective and also kinda want to pump my fist (I don't--think more shoulder shimmying--again...I know). Also, it's not a Daniel Tiger song, so there's that.
If the Cubs can get geared up and win the World Series after watching/listening to "Rocky," I surely can be an awesome mom after listening to my jam. What about you?
